OQ Specialist

Major Job Elements Train employees in OQ qualifications Perform field evaluations to ensure employees are operator qualified. Assist OQ Training Manager, OQ Supervisor and OQ coordinators in maintaining appropriate records. Attend project, job site and other meetings as required. Coordinate & communicate OQ issues to OQ Training Manager & OQ Department Perform other duties that may evolve as the position is developed in conjunction withcontractual requirements Track all dates for re-certification and work withArea Managers in ensuring all re-certifications are current. The OQ Specialist reports directly to the OQ Training Manager. Travel to various sites to evaluate, proctor and train gas employees. Qualifications Demonstrated success in a comparable position. Minimum 3+ years' work experience as one of the following; OQ instructor, Gas Utility Foreman, OQ inspector or equivalent experience. 10+ years in the gas utility industry. Decision maker with the ability to work under pressure. Demonstrated skills in effective time management and multitasking. Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Understanding of Gas & Underground standards and Engineering Drawings. This position may require significant time standing or walking on uneven ground, possible climbing of ladders or being in high places, working in tight spaces and in general, being overall physically demanding. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
